Well, I never really finished talking about alternative names today cos my mother accidentally cut herself quite badly with a cleaver and I had to rush her off to Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital to get it checked in case it needs surgery/stitches. We took almost 2 hours there as we had to wait for the nurse to check it, then wait for the blood flow to stop before the nurse made a descision to not stitch but to apply a tight wound bandage (kind of a more sophisticated band-aid) before we headed off to the side clinic to get a tetnus shot. We had to also pay $10 that shot. At least on the way home we managed to pick up a really good condition 8 draw drawer for Herb so he can use it for his ton of clothes that he doesn't wear.

Kirsten came over today, and unfortunately she had to sit in my room (her choice, as she could have sat somewhere else) for an hour while she waited for us to come back.
We started by watching The Cat Returns. It's a Studio Ghibli film by Miyazaki Hayo, the same guy that did Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Winds, Poco Rosso, My neighbour Totoro, Grave of Fireflies, Whispers of the Heart, and a few other flicks like Castle of Cagliostro too. As you can see, he is one of my most favourite Anime artists. While we watched that, Kirsten also started me on how to knit. And I now have a 4 row strip of knitted wool. It's not very good, but it does have some really good sections in it, but it was ok for my first try at knitting. So I'll keep at it, and I'm sure I'll end up with something or other eventually.

We also watched Big Fish, which was quite funny and interesting in some parts. And sad also in the ending, but a good movie overall.

I'm off to finish my draft reflections journal and print it for tomorrow's dodge arse class as usual.

Oh yeah, last night I went off to Hornsby with the Boys for a bit of GNI (LAN games), and we played DoD v1.0 (Day of Defeat, Half Life Mod) and BF DC & GC (Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat & Galatic Conquest, both BF1942 mods). Lots of fun too. On the way back to the carpark, Feng and Ada tried going shopping trolley surfing in true "Jackass" style. Feng successfully stacked his trolley and broke the top tray off and crashing into the curb and wall, while cracking up in laughter along with the rest of us. Adrian then decided it was just a tad too dangerous..... Then of course, Feng had to out do himself, and went back up with the broken trolley because it was more suited for surfing once the top tray was gone, and this time made it half way down before jumping off cleanly when it stacked the curb....

Insanity at it's best. =)
