Little Miss Sunshine.
I finally got around to watching this little gem of a movie. I have heard for a long long time that it was a brilliant film, very funny, heartwarming with a touch of obscurity.
Think a dysfunctional family, like the Simpsons. Then make it even more dysfunctional. You have a ordinary mum, a dad who is fixated on not being a loser, a grandpa on drugs and viagra (well, he's not technically on the little blue pill but behaves like he is), a son who has taken a vow of silence, a uncle who attempted suicide and the final cast character, a delightful little girl who wishes to become Little Miss Sunshine at the pageant.
It's medium paced, entertaining dialogue, simple cinematography but extremely well filmed. The plotline is simple as, but plenty of bumps along the way that makes the journey amazing.
Not much to say since I don't want to ruin it, but if you haven't seen it, watch it.
9.5/10. Nearly a perfect score but too short in my opinion. I wish it went on longer and the ending a little more rounded. Even still, Loved it.
Watch it.
