Well, after posting a quick question onto the forum help at Firefox support, I got a response extremely quickly, like, within 2 minutes. They redirected me to the about:config function (which I had already discovered) and told me to alter the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults value from the default value of 12, to whatever I wanted.
Problem solved. Of course, it means I have to be quite careful with the addresses that I do type in since it will continue to bump off the oldest less used ones from the list unless if I increase it from my current value (of 30) to something higher..... Or I start to stack more bookmarks ~lesigh~.
Thumbs up to the Firefox support community for being so on the ball.
