Descriptive sentencing

I will admit that I have been watching too much drama lately, but it has kind of brought something to my attention about linguistic uses. More specifically, interesting descriptive sentences.

To be more specific, I have noticed in my watching of korean made drama series that they have particular manner of speaking that I really haven't kind of seen/heard before in other languages, though it also may be in the manner of it is translated.

To example my statement, I refer to one section in the movie My Sassy Girl, where they are on the train, and when the girl wins the contest severely, she says a few sentences along the lines of

Why is the sky blue? Because I wished it so.
Why is fire hot? Because I wanted it to be.
etc

I also kind of encountered this in Coffee Price (which I am still watching), where in one episode, a girl asks a guy how much he missed her. To which his reply was along the lines of

When the wind blew
As I walked
As I tried to sleep.

They don't seem really that different in terms of plain language use, but if you think about it, they are kind of simple sentence statements, but yet the way they are use is quite strong, perhaps even to the extent of being lyrically profound. Although, perhaps it is just the way the phonetics of korean languages that makes it more so than in english. If you say these kinds of lines in english, either it is a little on the romantic side, or really lame, right? LOL

Just a casual observation I guess.....
But, it could just be how it is translated and there is more or less to it in reality.
