I don't know exactly what was ticking upstairs but after training, as I was about to get into my car, one of the kendo people came through the carpark on their way home. I asked if they wanted a lift anywhere but they said they lived nearby so it was ok. Fair enough, they then mentioned that they were moving house next week, and for some reason or other I offered to help LOL.
I'm not the kind to offer it willy-nilly and then say no if I can help. Though they don't know if they need help yet, and well if I can, I'm most happy to help. But, upon reflection,... why did I offer?... Haha, I don't really know this person very well but I guess that might just be part of my nature, hear someone doing something which I personally know is a pain-in-the-arse type of task (since I have moved house like nine or so times in twenty years). I'm certainly not the type to then grudge them of my time and effort, I'm sure they'll just give me a drink or something ^^
Should be interesting though I guess if they do request some assistance, and at least it gives me something to do to break the boredom that I'm kind of suffering while looking for work. The only thing about it is, next week is World Youth Day events so the city region will be a mess, but their place and where they are moving to isn't the CBD or Randwick area so it should be ok...
How many other people also just randomy offer help off the top of their heads without thinking?....
