There has been a lot of stuff being bought or intended to be bought by the members in the Kendo Club. I know of people ordering shinai's because the club equipment officer has been absent for a considerable time due to work, people ordering shinai weights, people getting bogu, and even new bogu bags.
For me, I am getting a replacement shinai for one that broke back at the Founders Cup weekend. I've gone with a slightly different shinai this time, one with a much smaller grip, but still a kotou style make. I ordered it through Sankei Australia, and the shipping was pretty high.... then of course, the EMS tracking was sent to me, (just then) and well, once you see EMS, you know it's coming from overseas... Its coming from Nagasaki apparently, it was lodged today at 18:24 to be precise. Well, the fastest it will get to me then will be Monday since it will be processed and shipped tomorrow, then processed Friday, and then delivered Monday. UNLESS, Australia post get their thumbs out and deliver it on Friday, which would be miraculous knowing their track record. Of course, no training in Saturday anyway, so even if I got it, it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Getting it monday doesn't make too much difference either if I don't have time to work it over before using it...
I wish I had more finances to play with for gear LOL XD....
