Random Acts of Vandalism

Why?...

Sometimes I just don't get it. With things like graffiti on black desolated industrial walls and stuff, besides being gang tags and alike, there can be some artistic merit to it. So much so that in some places around the world, there are dedicated places for graffiti artists to come and do their casual works, before other people paint over them with theirs. Vandalism on trains such as spray painting, carving into glass/plastics, drawing on the seats and floors... uh, not as much artistic but immature. Similarly in toilets too, what is with that??....

In all essence though, those types of vandalism is not more than an annoyance since it is defacing public/private property, but does not actually harm anyone but their aesthetics. When vandalism comes to the point where people can get hurt, then, I think there is a problem.

Near my house, there is a roundabout just before the train station. Just pas the roundabout on one side is a raised zebra crossing. There is normally signs that indicate a pedestrian crossing, and also approaching roundabout. These signs currently are lying on the roadside on the footpath, and have been ripped out of the ground. This is dangerous, and although the zebra crossing is lighted at night, it's not very well lit. Further more, the roundabout isn't a hugely obvious one so, if you go speeding through the crossing, you will end up crossing straight into the center of the roundabout.....

I would love to personally pummel those responsible for this wanton destruction of safety. It serves no purpose, no merit to vandalise in this manner.... bloody tools.... all of them.
