Recent viewing material

I've been watching a few anime series lately, and also a few TV shows too. Some to mention of:

Anime wise, I've been watching Soul Eater, my memory is really bad so I can't remember if I've mentioned it before, if I have, ~shrug~. It's quite a good series so far, though the art itself is semi-simplistic in a way, it's very well done. Initially, the voice acting was strange to me, but then as I watched it more, the voices grew on me since they suited the characters quite well. Maka is quite idolised by the looks of internet anime fans XD.

Another series that I've been watching is Toradora. It's about two schoolkids, who are both really nice gentle-ish people who have the exact opposite outward appearances to other people. They both have secret likings of someone, but because of how people think they are, they don't get to be close to those they want to be etc. It's funny and cute.

Onto TV shows.

I'm still following House into Season 5, good stuff.
Still watching Dexter, into Season 3, with some serious character development happening.
Still watching Californication into Season 2.

New shows that I've been watching.

The Fringe.
Think X-Files, but more eccentric in the investigation. One FBI chick, one semi-mad scientist, and his son. The three of them operate out of a big ass basement level lab space in Harvard University investigating paranormal/non-normal events that is related to something called "The Pattern". The science in it is shockingly bad, but if you ignore it, it's not a bad show to watch.

The Sanctuary.
This one is a little unusual. Main dude is a psych/profiler, who got booted from the FBI. Ends up with a group of people who run a facility called The Sanctuary. They capture, and help house/look after, and treat 'beings' who are "abnormal". When I say abnormal, I mean like mermaids, elementals, yeti's, and mutations. It's science-fiction of course, but it's got so far an entertaining element to it.

The Ex-List.
This one is lighthearted drama. Woman gets tarot reading, circumstance occurs and she believes the tarot reading is true. The tarot reading says she needs to marry by the end of the year, or she will never marry. But, the kicker is, she is going to marry someone that she has already once had romance with. Thus, she is now going through the entire list of her former boyfriends (Ex-list title) to see which one could possibly be the one she is needing to marry. Of course, these ex's of her just so happen to re-appear in her life at this stage, so she goes on these dates of sorts to try to figure out if they are the one. It's got funny moments in it, so something to see if it holds on or slips into not-good status.

Life On Mars.
This show is a re-make of a BBC production. Guy is a cop, gets into an accident, wakes up in the 1970's. Trying to get back to his time (2008) proves to be rather difficult, and so he has to deal with being a cop in the 1970's with oldskool tactics, ie, stuff that you just could not do and get away with in 2008 LOL. It's got serious moments, but it's also quite entertaining.

So, that's my current batch of watching for now.
