I finally got around to seeing this film, long after it has been and gone from the cinemas, which was a pity because seeing it at home was cool, seeing it on the big screen would have been a lot more fun.
I couldn't remember what happened in Prince Caspian from the books nor the others since I only ever read it once, while we used to own The Lion Witch & The Wardrobe so I read it many a times in my youth, so I didn't have much idea of exactly what the plot was going to be like. In a sense, it's always good to have an open mind to the story you're about to receive.
I do like the movie. It was a little longer than I expected and in the middle it felt like it was dragging a bit. I guess though in terms of 'epic' movies like this, and similarly to Lord of the Rings, you have to cram a lot in, and still keep it short as possible for the audience to bear through it. What ever happened to the old matinee days when there was intermission?haha.
The effects were ok, the soundtrack wasn't really that noticable, and the dialogue flowed well enough.
One thing though in observation, it's just as well that they have been gone for several hundreds of years since the massacre of populations in epic wars tend to take a bit of time for armies to recover LOL. The dual was not too bad either. Their rock throwing apparatus was interesting though, the sheer power to keep them moving at a constant rate, and well, it wasn't accelerating so in theory, the balls should just plop out of the arms instead of being flung......
If you're a fan of the series, it's a decent movie to watch. If you're an epic fan, then that too. Just don't take it too seriously, even if there are some serious moments in it, but there is some lightheartedness amongst the killing haha. =P

I've listened to both the the LWW soundtrack and this one. As Caspian was a good bit darker, so is the soundtrack. It didn't catch my fancy the same way the LWW did.
