Little Big Planet (otherwise known as hackysack)

Let me say, it's a far more fun game when you have more players. Further more, if your players are competitive and suck at teamwork. Then it becomes absolutely hilarious.

I don't know what the background story to it is, but you control this little cloth-ball creature, which is a cute soft and squishy thing that you can customise for appearance. You can also buy/get other 'skins' like pumpkin head instead of the standard template. These little critters run around attending to the platforml

The goal of each level, is to make the end. It's a platformer in 3D depth, ie, you can move in and out of the plane of view into the fore and back planes of the platform, as well as standard up/down left and right. While you leg it, jump it, slide it, fly it, roll it to the end, you try to collect stuff on the way, and then also apply stickers to places to unlock more stuff, and also try challenges in the level which required 2-4 people to complete.

The actual critters movements are pretty entertaining in that you can emote them from a happy to sad, grumpy to surprised. You can also wave their arms around and even their torso using the gyroscopic sensors in the dual-analog PS3 controller. The primary movements, jump and grab are all you actually need, the rest is just for 'fun'.

Lots of running, jumping over, ontp stuff, pushing stuff, pulling stuff, lifting stuff etc. Some of it can be quite challenging I can see from the levels we played, and it obviously gets progressively harder LOL.

I can see why this game has had a lot of attention, and it's quite a family friendly game too if you don't count the swearing from the players haha. I'd say it's definitely a winner and drawcard for people to get the PS3 since it's an exclusive to it.

Fun game. Very fun. ^_^

And if you're wondering why hackysack, it's because the little critters are like hackysacks...
