I updated the server listing on my QTracker program for the Internode CoD4 servers and saw one called Paintball. I love paintball and thus decided to connect to it and see what it was like.
The maps take a while to load, typically about 30mb or so in size each but once you download them all it runs like normal obviously. You get a series of different paintball markers from single shot assault class, spray shotgun class and also scoped sniper class. As you go up in ranks, similar to normal unlocking, you unlock better barrels and stuff that helps your firing rate and accuracy.
The maps are quite large for most of them, and it can often be difficult to find people to shoot at if there are low numbers playing, so people tend to run around shooting to generate the noise so you can find each other to shoot.
It's lots of fun actually, and more challenging than normal I think for the FPS genre.
Now I want to go paintballing for real LOL
