Randomness

Coming home on the train... some guy threw up in the carriage, right against the train door. He was a bit overweight, wearing a suit/shirt/tie, didn't seem drunk but just sick. I had been dozing and woke to hear him dry retching before he start to just bring all this vomit up.

It was actually incredible the volume he brought up, just coming in waves.... probably close to two litres of fluids I'd estimate. In any case, it was yellow and red coloured, almost stereotyped for the carrot and corn scenario, though he was missing the peas. The smell started to waft across and no-one helped him, but some did move away into other areas of the carriages.

For me, I got up and walked through the carriages towards the guard and knocked on the door. Once he popped his head out I told him that there was a guy sick on the train and he said he'd go check on him at the next stop. Well, we got to the next stop and I realised that the guy had been throwing up all over the door and vestibule area of the side facing the platform... fun fun.

I watched the guard go down and check on him, then see the guard run back up.... then back down with some stuff in his hands.... then a few minutes before the guard came back and the train set off again....

When I got off, I asked the guard if the guy was okay and he said the person got off at that station we stopped at and he was ok, and thanks for letting him know.

So that was that.....
