Almost a week has gone by, so time for a short re-cap.
Um. Friday, I had a meeting with my new student I supervise and her supervisor. We went through some milestones and concerns about safety, labwork and communications between everyone. In the late afternoon I had Kendo training and it wasn't too bad, we covered the usual basics and did a little bit of hiki waza, uchigomikeiko and kakarigeiko. Friday night I went home instead of out for dinner because I was conserving money a little since I paid some moeny for a birthday present some of us were getting for someone.
Saturday, Kendo training was strenous but not as bad as the week before. It was physical, but not to the point where a lot of people had to take breaks like before. Post training I went for $6 lunch at Thai-La-Ong 2 and I had a scalding hot Lad Naa. Normally it comes on a plate with a thickish sauce, but this time it came in a massive bowl.... and burnt me because it was extremely hot. We talked about education standards in lecturer communications, and also about how the weather and humidity in Malaysia and some other asian countries made people prone to being lazy. I got a hazelnut gelato at Ice + Slice afterwards for my tongue ^_^
Sunday was pretty ordinary. Worked some on a birthday present for someone.
Monday (today), looked at jobs, read a lot of emails related to Goro Nickel stuff because we are very stumped on why something has happened when we have pretty much come to exhausting all possible known causes. Read some emails regarding my new student, and applied for a job at MIT.
Thats really about it. Oh, I made two shirt designs. And, Internode servers are being really laggy/jerky for some unknown reason. Funny though that someone must have been admin and heard me suggest to make the GunGame mod reverse order (ie start with Heavy Machine Gun, and work back to Pistol, then knife) because today I found out they changed it to that LOL.
So thats been my time in a nutshell. Oh, yeah, I also registered my details with the Sydney Forensic Medicine and Science Network.

".. and applied for a job at MIT." What a way to slip that in there! Good luck with it, though.
Haha, you know me, casual, relaxed, laid back...
Besides, I mentioned it more in detail in my job blog.
