Hmmm, I don't really know what to write about at this moment in time.
Things in life are going on as usual I guess. I got cold shouldered at O-Week by someone from my past when I was talking to people. They came into the stall and looked at me, I said hi to them and they didn't respond, and pretty much ignored me for the rest of the time I was there talking to people. I still don't know exactly why they are behaving like that, nor can I really do anything about that, nor does it really matter I guess. It really is their loss in the long run, especially when the others there were asking me to come back and join in activities again. I probably won't because I don't particularly enjoy being in an environment if I'm going to be cold shouldered like that, and since there is no underlying motivation for me to be there, I don't need to be there to suffer that treatment.
I was roped into participating at the O-Week display for Kendo because the others who were meant to do it didn't want to do it and pulled out. It was a fairly simple demo and had a reasonable sized audience I guess.
Training was fairly normal I guess also. We then became motodachi for people interested in Kendo to see what it was like with an introductory session. We had dinner afterwards at Market City where I had a large 3-curry meal and an coffee milk tea easyway and we sat around discussing the relationship between kendo and girly behaviour. It was claimed that it was an inverse relationship between people interested and participating in kendo, and girlyness. Thus, the more you are into kendo, the less likely to be girly. A bit of a silly topic at first, but after some debate and argument, there really is a relationship there at least from the people we know firsthand who do kendo.
I got home fairly late after taking some people home, and pretty much crashed out as fast as I could cos I had to get up early in the morning to pick up someone for the SKC Friendship Cup. I didn't sleep very well at all, it was as if I was the one that would be competing at the competition, so I guess that is why when I got there, I felt like competing since I had already gone through the hassle of not even sleeping for it LOL.
The day itself was long, there was good kendo, bad kendo, surprise results and general fun. One of our teams came equal third and we had some pretty bad draws in the sense that we had to knock out two of our own teams (from five we had) in the first round. Through some hard matches, they made it to the semi-finals and came up against the team that eventually won. I did jigeiko afterwards, and was pretty knackered so ended up going home.
After processing the photos (now on my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/dchiou/sets/72157614542366622/ ) I also decided to put together a calendar using some of the photos I specifically took for such a purpose (ie, making the calendar) and it's available on my Redbubble (http://www.redbubble.com/people/flehrad/calendars/2660002-1-inside-the-men ) and yes, I am getting better at self promotion LOL.
Today was fairly ordinary, took some photos for my sister-in-law and my neice to use for passport photos and that was pretty much it in terms of productive work. I played some DDO after reading the notes in relation to Module 9 that will be release at some point though. It is interesting because they will do a four level, level cap increase from a cap of currently level 16 to 20. There are some new spells which will be interesting too like Heal, Mass, and True Ressurection. Should be interesting to see the new quests also once the thing is released.
Besides that, I don't think there is much of note. So thats about it for now.
