EeePC n other randoms

I bought myself a netbook last week, a ASUS EeePC 1000HE, in Black from Penta Group at Broadway. Their cash price was $798 with a 1.5% credit card surcharge which brought the price to $809.97 or so.

It's very nice, the weight is quite reasonable though the size is small. At the moment I'm looking into getting a clear polycarbonate case for it as protection. Here are some pictures of it located from my flickr.

As the randoms, I tried to make an artistic rendition of a bamboo dou using bamboo at home. I made the bits and strung it together, but I had no way to make it stay in it's shape that it needed to be in. It is currently now a garden ornament though my parents fear it will be stolen... if it gets stolen, it gets stolen... I mean, it's a garden ornament, I don't have any way of permanently securing it, and if someone likes it enough to flog it, I hope they do well with it LOL. Here is a picture of it. The white stuff was a filler I used to fill in the gaps, originally hoping that it would make it stiffer and stay in shape, but with no success.

Lastly, a picture of my neighbours roofline. An interesting contrast of the old school radiowave antenna and a newer satellite dish right next to it.
