Well, it has been a few days since I have returned from my vacation in New York. I have settled somewhat back into usual routine, with going to work on Friday, Kendo training last night and today. I am still a little tired, though it could be remnants of the jetlag phenomenon or because I think I may be coming down with something or other.
Work was pretty dull for most part, training yesterday was also quite light, we didn't really do anything and there was birthday jigeiko. We had the club AGM before having dinner for the birthday person at Kobow, the Korean place that we used to frequent quite regularly.
I could say a lot about the AGM, but I shall refrain myself to some succinct points. Firstly, during all of the voting I was involved with, I abstained. Not much point voting if you don't think the meeting should have held validity in the first place because by technicality, the meeting was illegal. It was illegal because there was no written notification as required by the consitution, so technically all of the events that transcribed are null and void. The second point, is that I think management funding should be better spent than on incentives for the executive team to perform their jobs. Those on the exec should want to do their jobs right regardless of incentives of that nature. I guess, it is how they want to run things, which of course naturally differs to my opinions and experiences, but I don't need to raise a fuss about it.
The dinner was alright, I was feeling a bit off kind of, tired from training, it was a late dinner, and probably sick/jetlag somewhat, so I got a seafood fried rice, and made sure that my eating utensils did not come into contact for cross-contamination with the other food so others wouldn't get sick. They had sojou going for celebrating the 21st birthday, and I had two glasses only, while I think some others had a lot more LOL. I had some fried chicken also.
After that, we wandered down to McDonalds at the Entertainment Centre to have the birthday cake before we went off our usual ways home and I got home just after 1am and pretty much conked out.
Woke up this morning, packed my stuff and then headed off to training, which was fairly usual, but I think my physical state isn't that great, which supports that I might be either on the verge or recovery from being ill. I was being a bit dehydrated so I drank a lot of water, and my throat was killing me also from the kiai work we did. I know stamina wise I was a bit off having not trained for over two weeks being on holidays, but otherwise than that I survived the training but my muscles ache, which is from both being not well, and also training methinks.
Just have to bear with it I guess. So that was it pretty much.
