Dr's and Doctors

I am by technicality a Dr.

But medical professional staff, medical doctors, people in possession of medical degrees, are also called Doctors. But it actually bugs me at times that medical's are called Dr when they actually aren't.

The title for a medical person to be a Dr is that they need to have a M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) by technicality. Surgeons are called Mister (for Males) or Mrs/Miss as per normal.

Those who possess a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery) shouldn't be called Dr willy nilly, but yet they do...

Minor rant. :P

when that mister holds a knife to your prostrate body, you'll call him anything for a good outcome. :P

I'd be under general anesthetic so I wouldn't be calling him anything lol.

whaa?
But it's true
besides, I'm not griping about you, you're getting a M.D. so you'd be Dr anyway
