Kitchenhand Uniform

My mother started a new course this week. She is being "trained" to be a kitchen hand so she can be qualified and look for work, as a requirement of government policies regarding unemployed people.

While she can already cook, she lacks the formal training in preparing things en mass and also in a commercial/professional kitchen and capacity. I think if she gets past the English barrier that is her major problem she should be able to do this kind of thing/course easily and well.

So, she came home today with a brand new uniform supplied by the course and asked for a photograph of her dressed up in it :D

They will be getting a new set of knives and utensils on Monday and start cooking I think next week. The instructor said that in the 18 years he has been teaching these courses, there has not been one course where on the first day of giving out knives and cooking, that there hasn't been an injury so he will come with plenty of first-aid and band-aids LOL.

As part of their assessment they have to do a cooking portfolio with 12 dishes in it with photographs and also explanations of the dish too. I'll probably help out in the photography of her dishes if she makes them at home instead of at the course centre.
