Followup on Toothbrush review

As my previous post, I have recently started using a new toothbrush, the Oral-B Pro-Health medium.

It's been a few days now since I started using this particular toothbrush, and I think it is good to always give a bit of a breaking-in time to get used to the brush and wear it in.  The handle has now softened up some with the flex experienced, the grip is quite comfortable actually and there is sufficient bend and flex in the main backbone that the brushing force is not as "hard" as if it had stayed the same initial stiffness.

The brush head itself has softened slightly, but as a medium hardness, I still find that it is still harder than the Colgate brush I previously used.  Perhaps it is due to the higher bristle density and pattern, still not sure.  In terms of foaming action, the softening has increased the lather, and pleasing to say, it seem that with the higher bristle density the foam is a much finer/smoother consistency.  Now it might seem strange for me to mention, but when I spit out the residue, you can usually see the bubble formation in it, and surprisingly, it is a finer aeration of the tootpaste mixture than before.  Interesting.  I'm not actually sure if means much if it is just purely a bristle density function however.

The fatter head is still a fatter head though, nothing is really going to change that besides use time and getting used to it.  It doesn't seem that big a deal, but you really do have to open your jaws wider and distend the cheeks more to get to those back molars.  The hard tongue scrubber is hard as ever...

Stay tuned for my next brush review in another three months or so, when I decide what brush to get next and trial.
