Today was a bit of a longish day.

Went in to complete the rest of the sample prep for TEM/SEM of the femoral head specimens that were sent up yesterday. Then, I had to run the SEM stuff through the critical point dryer, and that took a while too before I could mount the specimens.

However, I took advantage of the time while waiting for the CPD to heat up the CO2 into gas phase by scanning in some of my very old baby photos. I've always wanted to do that because they have been slowly fading, and it would be sad indeed to lose them, without at least having some way of keeping a copy, such in digital form. I've uploaded them onto my facebook albums but you can only see them if you're in my friends list. But, just for a bit of fun, I'll put one up in this post for you all ^^

Afterwards, I hopped across to Chem Eng to poke about, and I cleaned out my samples from the freezer and fridge. The bin was full of white powders (mainly maltodextrin DE18) but anyone else looking would have seen lots of little bags of white powers... hmmm highly suspect. LOL. I then had to help out with laser sizing, and a few small things, before I went home. Wasn't particularly busy, but just a longish day really.

Tomorrow I'll be doing SEM work all day, firstly in the morning with Imtiaz to help him with his samples, and then after his session, my own samples of the Dental bits.
