Today was yet another long day.
Got in, changed the resin for the clay samples, then went to chem eng to help out with anything that needed my help. Then back to the EMU to help out there. There were chairs to be moved, benching to be put down, keys to be found, desiccators to be found, and I even got to drive the departmental stationwagon out to Erskinville to get some keys LOL.
Popped back over via Biochem to meet a friend of mine, and he passed on some clothes of his to me, which were new but too big for him. Got to see his shoebox of an office, and well, I'm glad to say I never did honours in an environment like that.....
Back over to chem eng for a little bit, then onto Kendo.
Training was fairly light today. We did the usual warmup (I led today), then footwork and simple waza before jigeiko as it is generally routine. Today, for some reason, my jigeiko felt really good, like, the best I've felt in while a while. I don't know why, but I really enjoyed it today, even if my left foot was hurting quite a bit with my big toe callus.
Post training, I went to have dinner with a few of the boys. We went to Pepper Lunch, on George St in the city near Town Hall. It's like Chinese sizzle plate, but Japanese instead LOL. For $12.50, I got a curry chicken (large) with a drink (peach tea) and an egg cracked onto my curry. Reasonable portion size, very hot, very tasty. I'd go there again methinks, and try another one of their dishes.
After dinner, we went to City Hunter and played some CoD4 on Old School mode and that was really fun, before a few rounds on Rome:Total War, which I still suck at LOL.
Tomorrow is training and start of house sitting. Hmm. Well, at least I had a nice friday night to start off this long weekend ^^
