Goong/Guung/Princess Hours (Drama)

Hmm, I think I've breezed through this series faster than any other I have watched...

I got this from a friend on Friday night, and being Wednesday today I finished watching all 24 episodes at an hour each... That's a whole day gone out of five days spent watching it LOL. Especially since on Sat & Sun I was out of the house from 8am-8pm at the Founders Cup, and I was also at training for seminar on Monday too..... ^^;

It's a very complex series. A ordinary middle class girl in an art school ends up marrying the Crown Prince of Korea (in a fictitious modern setting with an existing Royal Family) due to an arrangement by their respective grandfathers. Convolution occurs when the original recipient of this arrangement, who was living overseas in exile of sorts returns and falls in love with the now Crown Princess. To top it off, scandals occur due to the Crown Prince's previous love, a ballerina who attends the same art school that he, the Bingung Mama (princess) and the returned exile attend. More and more troubles pile up for the Royal family and much misunderstanding, plotting and other shenanigans happen.

There is a lot of tears and sadness in this series with some very serious and heavy materials at times. To counter it though there are quite a few funny parts too, and the character of Shin Chae-kyung is lovely. Chae-kyung is played by Yoon Eun Hye, the same one from Coffee Prince. I really like her ^^ Very cute, although not a absolute stunner in terms of appearance she is very nice, cute and at least the roles (haha, all two I have seen) are wonderful. From these roles though if her personality isn't similar to them I would be very surprised as the way she performs them really shine. It'd be nice if I could find a person like that for me ^^ ~sigh~.

The ending was a bit off in my opinion, but it did work.... There was supposedly a second season planned but it kind of fell through. The series was based on a manhwa (Korean Manga) though.

The link for the drama-wiki page for Goong is here.

Looks very interesting - I love those kinds of stories. Where can I get it and what language is it written in?
