Dragon Hunters (2008)

I didn't know much about this film except that it was an animation, and it totally blew me away. Like, whoa, dude.

Not so much in the graphical sense but the story is fantastic. Enter two rogues, posing to be dragon hunters/slayers. They aren't particularly good at what they do, and don't exactly earn much keep. Enter old rich guy who is following a prophesy about the rising of a great dragon. Enter little niece of rich guy, who has grown up with stories of dragons and dragon slaying, and wants to be one. Mix well.

It is a comedy to say the least, some slapstick action here and there, but the gentle characters, facial expression and the voice acting is superb. The non-stop talking of Zoe (in the dubbed English version here, I don't understand French) was excellent hahaha.

I don't know what it was about this movie that had me quite spellbound, the music had a different feel to it, the scenic designs and the world it was based in (where platforms of land mass float around and they jump across them like it was just normal... well, it *is* normal for them LOL) and just other little nuances that were not of the Hollywood animation type. Don't get me wrong, companies like Pixar (like Wall-e) are amazing in their own right, but this piece was just different and captivating

A must watch I feel for all fantasy buffs of any age. The imdb for it is here
