I received a letter today from the university. My appointment of being an Honorary Associate has been approved, and is subject to me signing a document and returning it to the appropriate office by the 19th September.
They initially stuffed up the paperwork because the letter of acceptance said that my appointment was from 1st September 2008 to 31st August 2008, or a -1 day appointment LOL. I emailed them back with this, and they told me that it had been checked by two people and they still hadn't caught the mistake, and sent me a corrected version with the 31st August 2011 instead..... gee, talk about an obvious mistake being missed...
What does this mean for me? It means that I get to keep borrowing and library privileges, and also an email/internet privileges, and also key access to building and rooms approved. What that also means though is my appointment as Associate Supervisor for my two PhD students is also approved too co-incidentally. Awesome stuff for my CV/Resume =)
