Well, I have a 'new' monitor in front of me, a nice BenQ FP241W Z, 24" 1920x1200 LCD panel with gas lift stand. That all being said, it's not working properly. Right now, I have a permanent 'on' mode with PIP (picture in picture) for some reason, and the OSD (on screen display) appears it is on factory mode and is strange in terms of colours (ie, not the proper OSD colour scheme). The panel buttons are also not responding appropriately, the power button doesn't turn the panel off, and the other buttons seem to work somewhat erradically so far. I can't really take it back because it was a special purchase of refurbished stock, but it supposedly passed QC as the resealed sticker claims. Like my previous two moniters (both BenQ LCD's, one a 19" now back in it's box, and a 22") this one was refurbished, and well, out of the seven monitors we've purchased this way, this seems to be the first with actual problems. The others were purchased with known dead/stuck pixel issues, and haven't had anything else besides them.
Right now, I'm using the 22" to do this, the 24" still works, and looks awesome, and is bright too, but the blue PIP box in the upper right corner means I can't really use any full-screen applications... and the way to turn it off right now is to literally unplug the thing.... Well, I'll figure something out to do with it, I'll have to, lest I get used to losing a chunk of my screen due to the PIP haha.
