A Pictorial on Cable Joining

I brought my camera today for the purpose to record the process of the cable joining as I mentioned in the previous post. They didn't mind me taking the pictures at all, saying I was getting a good scoop.

I don't have pictures of the actual crimping process because they did that yesterday when I didn't have my camera, and well, it's nothing special, just the two halves stuck together, a metal tube between them, and crimp. But I did get pictures today of before and after the crimp process.

I made it into a contact sheet, and the file name labels describe the step that is involved. You can appreciate the process a little more once you see the pictures.

Warning: It is a 1mb sized picture, even on Low JPEG, the high quality was going to be 9mb so I decided to make it low.

Umm. Wow. :) This must have helped make it a lot less boring, though, no? Still, nice to be able to see to some extent what you were talking about.
