What is it exactly about people saying goodbye that requires the imbibing of copious amounts of alcohol?
I went to a farewell dinner for another one of our Kendo people who is returning to Korea tomorrow. Nothing much to speak of from the dinner itself except that a lot of alcohol was take in a very short span of time that resulted in the farewelling person being very sleepy and under the weather for a little while.
The last farewell I attended also had a lot of alcohol involved....
I think when I get a job overseas and they throw a going away party, there will probably be just as much there too...... ~sigh~
Alcohol is fine but to get smashed like that is not the best way to present yourself when you're going away I think....
The dinner was at Kobow in the city, food was usual fare for Korean, nothing particular really. I had an early night because I was really tired from lack of sleep so left them after dinner. I don't know what they did afterwards. ~shrug~
