Fridge Clearing Party

One of my friends had a supposed problem the other day and the rest of us decided to be good friends by helping him out. The problem apparently was that he had too much food in his fridges because everyone else in his family had gone away on holidays and he didn't want the food to spoil and be wasted. Our solution was to have a gathering to clear his fridge.

We ended up with seven people for the event, and while he claimed that there was enough to feed four people, in my food opinion, it wasn't that much food. Nevertheless it was a fun opportunity to gather and enjoy some entertainment and conversation.

We went shopping at Woolworths in Campsie and bought enough food to go along with the fridge contents and started cooking a lunch and dinner. Lunch was potato salad, salad, Vietnamese processed pork roll, wedges and a really badly burnt attempt at a spanish omlette by myself. It was still a good solid lunch though.

Dinner was pasta, the rest of the salads, BBQ chicken, steak and prawns while desert was a agar-agar with lychee and some other sweet stuff from a can thrown in.

We played Wii, Xbox360, watched YouTube videos, chatted about all sorts of stuff and enjoyed the company. T'was nice.

I took some photos with my new 50mm camera and there are visible on my flickr and in the set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dchiou/sets/72157611592549012/
