Jog #4: Pace change

I went for some exercise this morning to burn off some of the energy gained last night. I decided that the stair climbing was nicer on my knees in terms of impact and so did the five hundred meter run or so to the train station before doing the steps.

I went a bit slower today, still more than a walk, but not as fast a run up the steps and back down. At this change of pace, I managed to actually do ten sets of up and down before I had a break. After the break, I upped not the speed but the lift gap by climbing two steps at a time. I only managed six sets of up and down before I stopped. I had stretched between the reps and before I started the run so I think that helped a little.

Doing the count, the stairs has thrity three steps in it. There are eighteen in the first set before a short three step plateau exists before the rest up to the top.

Doing the maths, I did like 528 steps up and then another 528 down again. It was quite tiring and while I didn't feel light headed from it, my diaphram did pulse a little and feel a little achey from it for a little bit. Seeing how the weather goes will be if I repeat another run in non-peak-hour traffic tomorrow.
