Woke up today and went for exercise again. I waited a little because being a weekday it meant that there would be more customers coming up and down the stairs and I didn't want to get in their way. I took the run across just after nine while it was still coolish, and then did the stairs. I did ten sets of a medium pace with a short break after six because I was going a little faster than yesterday, and after that I did the two steps at a time but did ten also, clocking up a total of 660 steps climbed up and back.
Last night after talking with my kouhai about training for Kendo, I sent off an email to the local school which has a hall that we normally go to vote in. I got a response this morning from them that said I needed to call and talk to the Parish Secretary. I called and ended up talking to the Parish Priest instead and explained the circumstances to him. He was nice and said that insurance was their primary concern and that I should send a letter with some more details for them to consider with.
I wrote the letter and walked over to the school and popped it into the mailbox because the parish office was closed.
As an indication of what my neighbourhood is like, besides the landmarks of gunshop and stripjoint, I walked past an obese man sitting on a brick fence next to his bicycle, as he had a smoke and drank from a brown bottle inside a brown paper bag. I don't know but to me that is kind of defeating the point of riding your bike if it was for exercise if you're going to swing beer and smoke while taking your break... He was still there after I went past him to the school and back. Oh and I saw a gatorade/garden hose bong on the footpath up to the school too... Nice place to live right? LOL
I guess we will have to wait and see if we will have a hall to use during the holidays.
