Easter Friday

Hmmm, Friday day was pretty ordinary with packing for my trip to Brisbane for a friends wedding tomorrow. I'm sitting in the lounge room with their internet typing on my netbook which is working really nicely.

I spent the later afternoon travelling on the train to the airport, with a ticket costing me $15.80.... I travelled with a friend to the airport and we had some food before waiting for the flight up. I flew with Virgin Blue and pretty much slept on the plane because I was a bit tired. Once I got into Brisbane, my friend picked me up from the airport and took me over to their shared house.

Pretty much talked a lot, had a bite of food again, chatted a lot more and caught up on things before we broke out the port. I've never had port, and this stuff is quite nice. It's 19.5% alcohol volume content, and is vintage from 1985 or so from the Barrossa Valley. It's also cloudy port which apparently is different since a lot of them are clarified. Quite sweet, not too sharp or "wine" tasting, brownish in colour and sort of had a 'raisen' type of flavour to it, which was quite pleasant. The bottle shape itself is also very nice looking, and I took some photos of it in an attempted artistic manner which I'll upload at some other time.

At the moment, three people are in bed, five actually. There are three of us awake chatting in the lounge room and it's pretty much time to crash out I think. They have to wake up at 6am for some of them, those being groomsmen, where as I don't need to leave until later for the ceremony.

In any case, I guess I should hop off and get some sleep too.
