I think the internet sometimes is an awesome thing, especially for making friends around the world who you can talk to and do stuff with, and having never met in person.
I mention this because I recently started to talk to someone who is in Japan, from Europe who is on rotary exchange. Her blog is here : http://chibichild.blogspot.com/
We started talking when I answered a question regarding Kendo on Yahoo! Answers, and she contact me off the system via email about Kendo since she was interested in taking it while on exchange. She's pretty young, good sense of humour and lucky I think to be able to go on exchange. I wish I managed to ~sigh~.
Also found out today she was 3 months prematurely born... 3 months! Apparently they injected her with stuff to keep her going but because her vascular system was so underdeveloped, her left foot turned blue, and essentially her toe went tissue death, but stayed connected. Then she kicked her mother on the belt one time (as an infant) and her toe came clean off. Her parents have kept it though haha.
So, along with Helene, I have made lots of online friends, like Hannah, Sari, Spike, Gribs and others. I hope that I'll continue to do so, and expand my network of randoms around the world ^_^
