What has happened since my last entry:
I have been working on my book chapter with some moderate degree of progression. There is now less than a month left before I have to submit the document to the editor, and while I am relatively happy with it, there is still some additional work to be done on it at the recommendation of my supervisor such as expanding discussions, adding references and the alike. Personally, I don't think it's that important since the chapter isn't a very high powered one, and it is going to be the second issue, meaning most likely there will be future issues also if it is going to be continued as a successful publication. This means there will be for sure some kind of review and advancement of the topic area, probably also more material in each area added and changed as things progress.
I also had a few meetings with a few different people, and am now waiting for a written contract to be given to me to review. If I'm happy with the offering and I sign off on it, then I will start with working part-time on two jobs until my contract at the university ceases, then full time with Lang Technologies. It is something, it would give me experience in working in a non-academic setting, and while it is kind of daunting, I hope and believe that I would be up for the challenge. The company itself is very small, less than ten people in it total, significantly less than ten people actually... in fact, the on-contract staff all fit on one hand while there are two additional contractors who are not based in their office location. I don't know what my title is, but I have a reasonable idea of what I will be doing so we will just have to see how it goes.
Socially, I haven't been out and about much.
Kendo has it's last training today this afternoon for the "semester" since on Friday they will be putting the tables and chairs out in the hall for exam period. This means no training at our club for three weeks roughly. I've felt that my Kendo has been a bit flat-line lately, and at times, I haven't had a lot of energy. What though I have been doing is just working on one thing or two at a time during jigeiko, and I'm fairly happy with the results.
Archery is still a bit on and off. Shooting at home when I feel like it. Switching to the open ring is good, but at times still have some issues with getting through the clicker easily. I feel like shooting more at times and wanting to compete, but at the same time, it isn't easy to do so.
Digital entertainment wise, I've been playing a bit of Counter-Strike:Source GunGame on the GameArena servers (#1-4). Been a while before I was playing, and it's a lot of fun. It's different to Call of Duty 4, which, I was playing a lot before going back to CS:S, and CS:S takes different skills. I think strangely though, my reflexes are perhaps getting a tad sharper LOL. In addition to that, I've also been on DDO, and played through some of the new content in the Inspired Quarter with The Harpers guild. Therev is now up to level 18 and picked up Wail of the Banshee spell yesterday. Two more levels before I can start trying Epic challenge quests. Ippon is my new sorceror to play with Ben, Luke, Muz, but they haven't been on in almost a week now. Other than that, I've also got Fudoushin as a Favoured Soul that I fiddle with.
In other things, I've had some discussions with a few people about a few things, met my brother's first ever girlfriend when he brought her home for lunch, had a cold (which I probably have still some linger of) and that is about it.
Not really that exciting huh? Thankyou to all my stalkers out there for reading, you know who you are :P Yes, you, the one reading. LOL.
