I have decided that because of my previous experiences with Sydney weather compared to Brisbane weather, I will keep a blog log of my room conditions over the winter and see how it rates. By comparison to Brisbane, Sydney is freezing cold. And even though I have been here for my 6th year this year, I am still not used to the cooler weather changes that come around each autumn and winter.
At my previous two addresses, the weather drops in winter were relatively quick in the middle of winter, down to about 4 or 5 degrees Celcius around the 2am mark (cos I was stupid enough to be up at that hour type of thing freezing my fingers off chatting to people on ICQ and MSN....) Further more, due to condensation in winter, I had mould growing in my room ceiling, and the same situation was in our bathroom, so it will be interesting to see if the same happens here.
The actual scenario, is that my room measures 2m(w)x3m(l)x2.5m(h), and I have a industrial chemical thermoniter hung in a position that is out of direct air movement and sunlight. It is also suspended and not in contact with anything that could alter the temperature changes such as metal or wood etc. It is also away from my computer case that expels heated air from the internal contents. This means that any temperature change is truely representitive to the ambient temperature. Further more, because it is a industrial thermoniter, it is a long temperature tube (which means it takes ages for it to equilibriate to the same temperature) and it is also got a great range of -30 to 60 C.... not that I'll be needing it.
