As a seperate note.
I used the incense burner that Kirsten gave me for my birthday on Friday.
Myrrh was the incense that Kirsten got with it (I don't know if it had any significance, as the first though I had was Gold, Myrrh and Frankenscense for the newborn King......)
It is a sweet smelling incense, and pleasant to my tastes, so I don't mind it at all. I don't know if it is something that I would have gotten myself though. And interesting observation though is that in this weather, the incense smoke only rises a certain distance. I guess on thermodynamic principles, it isn't such a surprise at all, as the smoke rises about 70cm from the burner, and lofts around at that height. I think it just doesn't have enough heat energy to lift the smoke particles any further before they start to drift away from the heat column, and disperse, causing a gradual loss of altitude.
It took approximately 85 pages of Scarecrow for 1 stick of the Myrrh to burn completely out, and it left a nice haze of incense smoke and smell in my room. And even today, there are still some lingering smells of it on some items like my desk and clothes on the exposed side (not the wall side).
I guess I'll have to get more scents of incense in the future eventually, but I think that Paddy's has them pretty cheap at like $2.50 or $3 for a packet of 10.
