I just finished watching American Gangster. It is 2hours and 55 minutes, so quite a lengthy movie. It is a really well scripted and played movie, and I feel another brilliant performance by Denzel Washington, one of the actors I really like. I have heard a lot of 'angry black man' comments used to describe his movies, but in this one, ok, he does get pretty angry at times, but not in the same way LOL.

Russell Crowe also does very well in his part playing Ritchie who brings down Frank (Washington). There are some very powerful moments in that movie, and they did it very well, with the sets, costumes and casting. If it wasn't for the length of the movie, I would have probably enjoyed it more, but with the amount of content and the timeline that it spanned, it was well edited.
