Morning world.

I went to a friend's birthday BBQ yesterday, and it was a pretty good gathering. Easy drive, weather held perfectly fine and had some good fun and conversation. It was mainly kendo people, plus friends from school and some of his girlfriend's friends. It started at 3pm and I left at 10:30pm, so quite a long gathering, and we ate a heck of a lot of food. Had some interesting conversations about work and life in general, the occult, kendo (of course!) and just crap haha. And there was five birthday cakes throughout the party. I got to meet some more kendo people that I had heard names of but had never met so that was pretty nifty too.

I also checked my saturday lotto ticket and discovered I won a division five prize, not particularly much but enough to pay off the ticket itself, plus a paper and milk LOL.

I bought the paper for the property guide to have a better idea of property prices and trends as I have been starting to look in a serious manner at getting my own place once I can afford to do so. So I guess I will be doing that sometime today.

I also realised the reason why a few years ago I gave up kendo. I was doing both kendo and archery but I dropped kendo to focus on archery, but more so waking up today, my strains, pains, aches made me realise that was why I gave it up because it's pretty difficult to shoot in good form if your body is stuffed from something else haha. It's not that much of a deal anymore since my goals for archery have been met so if I slack off on it ~shrug~ Kendo is now providing me with a different challenge and goals. One thing at at time I guess.

My knee and tricep are not much better today though. Oh well.

Oh, and my friend has just told me that Toshiba is shutting down their DVD plant, providing fuel to the rumors that Blu-Ray has won the HD-DVD format war.....
