Afternoon folks.
It's the end of the weekend, and despite being quite a tiring one, it has been one of the best ones for a very long time.

Friday archery was not too shabby, new members coming regularly so that is excellent indeed. The weather was terribly hot though, I shot for a few rounds, and then sat down in the shade.

Due to the hot weather, Kendo training was also pretty hot being in bogu etc. We did a good solid training session, and trekked across to Market City for dinner. I had a good conversation with one of my senpai's about my maai and also other things about my playing that I should look at/consider as during my jigeiko with him, he was observing my ability. I need to do more harai waza to break their seme and maintain mine. I also need to work on my distance, as I am coming in too close on my cuts and hitting too close. He also said he would give me a demonstration of what I could do/try on Saturday.

After dinner, the group kind of split up, with some wanting to go to K (karaoke) and then PC (LAN City Hunter on Sussex St). I promised that I would go to K, and so I did LOL. The Korean K is different to the Chinese K I went to last year. The room was about the same size, but a lot more flashy haha. We entered and they had a lucky dip, and we won a free korean beer each. 2 hours later, a lot of songs later and a beer, we emerged from the room. Unfortunately, one of the girls drank her beer, and then realised, she had driven. Being on a P plate, she can't have any blood alcohol reading at all........ The situation was finally resolved by me driving her home in her car, and then catching a taxi back to uni where I had parked. However, due to the fact it was so late, waiting for a taxi too forever, and by the time I got back, I was too tired to drive myself, so I crashed out in my office LOL.

Saturday, I had a coffee and banana bread for breakfast, then napped some more watching the cricket before Kendo training. The training on Sat was fairly light, but good. Having used my home-made suburi shinai for a while now, I can feel that my bioshinai is lighter, so either I'm getting stronger and faster (which is the hopefully the case), or I just was feel weird..... I played two jigeiko's and I felt that I 'won' both of them.

After training, I hung about with and chatted before going to this Korean place in some back alley for dinner. Nice good food, seafood with rice-cake, a little spicey but tasty. =) Then a late drive home and I slept for a long long time haha. And that was my weekend =)
