Well, Friday was not too bad.
Two presentations by Natasha and Belinda.

Natasha's topic was to teach about cells.
Belinda's topic was to teach about rocks.

Both of them did pretty well, and I think they'll get good marks.

Incidentally, I was given a 18/25, while Paul got a 23/25....
Oh so sad.

Dissection in the morning was pretty good.
They were mainly concentrating on the Kidneys, Ureters, Pelvic blood supply and other vessels/nerves.
We had quite a few abnormal pathologies, such as a really cool polycystic pair of kidneys (yes, not one, but two!). They were really cool because the cystic fluid was dark reddish brown compared to the usual opaque whitish you find, and it was a massive kidney about 2.5x the size of a regular kidney you could expect to find on someone. Other funky abnormalities were Suprarenal glands, where one was majorly mush and enlarged, while the other was also majorly enlarged but very solid. Normally it's a glad around the size of a TicTac box, and softish, fibreous. They had mush, and of rubber consistancy respectively.

I kinda bludged a little, but it was ok cos it was a fairly easy prac to do. I was down the back talking to Mark's table, and telling "stories".....

I might tell some stories on Blogger as we go just for some fun.

Next post.
